MY REVIEW:

In this book we go back to Ashleigh Lake and I was really excited for this because I absolutely loved Raiden story! And when I read that Hunter was next I was really excited.

This is a second chance romance which I really love (has to be my favorite type of romance). Beth and Hunter we together when they were teenagers and they built a love that was once in a lifetime but they were so young and the world pulled them apart.

Sixteen years later and they both are doing well in their perspective careers but not the best in their love lives, and Beth not so much in her personal life. Since she’s left Ashleigh Lake she’s become a successful lawyer, but her life revolves around her job and that’s all she really has. She had a tough time when she was in Ashleigh Lake and has a hard time thinking about going back their or her history there.

Hunter has done everything he can for his family, because to him family always comes first. Especially when they need him. He’s sacrificed and give it all to them never thinking of himself. He even gave up the woman he loved for them. He doesn’t know how to stop putting everyone else before him because he’s done it for so long.

Now by chance Hunter and Beth meet again and let’s just say all the old feelings are there. They’re both caught off guard and don’t know what to do with it, until Beth decides to take a trip back to Ashleigh Lake to get some closure. And this is where the story really gets interesting.

There is so much unfinished between Hunter and Beth, so much they don’t know about each other and so much that was never said when they broke up. And they realize that they never really got over each other.

I loved seeing Hunter and Beth come together and start to mend both of their broken hearts. I also loved watching them rekindle the love that they had that never really went away. They found their way back to each other. I also like how Beth got a chance to see a place that was so traumatic to her become something else.

Beth also got a chance to reconnect with the people of Ashleigh Lake and see people she hasn’t seen for so many years. And she started to remember things she loved about the town she grew up in.

And I loved when they realized that all that matter was them together and nothing else. Everything didn’t matter if they were going to be alone and miserable. It was so beautiful when they chose each other finally after all the time spent apart.

I also enjoyed Beth deciding to make choices based on what she wanted and not what she thought she should  want out of life. This also help her heal and really come into herself and be the woman she really wanted to be.

This was a good second book to this series and I look forward to seeing who’s story we’ll get to see next. And although I really enjoyed this book Raiden and Georgiana’s story is still my favorite.
