MY REVIEW:
I am not sure where to start with this one, some things are revealed. We finally see what happened to Summer and where she’s been all this time. After Zoey, Daniel and Dev have been looking for her for so many years.
She’s been on her own for some time, Summer thinks her magic has destroyed the people in her life that were her family and she wants nothing to do with it. So she bound it and does not use it.
When Summer is running for her life, people start falling into her world from the sky. Literally.
“A trick and a trap. You’ll solve the mystery and never see the evil coming for you.”
Dev and Marcus are missing and no one knows that they fell through the painting that was in Dev’s office. No one knows and people keep falling in.
Kelsey is next then, Zoey and Daniel. And surprise surprise guess who the painting came from? None other that the wizard Merlin. This doesn’t lead to good things of course.
Kelsey has no idea who Summer is but is shocked by how much she looks like Zoey. Finally when Marcus and Dev catch up to them, Dev realizes who Summer is and can’t believe it. Marcus is completely enthralled by her and Summer is feeling the same things for Marcus.
“I should have told you that I am yours, bella. I have been yours since long before you were born. I’ve walked the Earth plane for almost two thousand years and only now do I know what I was born to do.”
Looks like things are not so hopeless for Marcus after all. It’s been a long time that Marcus has wanted his happily ever after and it seems like he might be getting it here.
When Zoey and Daniel finally catch up to the rest of the crew the reunion is so heartwarming and sad, it brought tears to my eyes.
We finally find out what the weird hole Merlin has over Daniel and Dev is which they are finally able to fix. This was really satisfying for me because Dev and Daniel were really starting to annoy me.
We are introduced to a new character that has been talked about before but we didn’t realize. This new character is someone that seems to be very important to the future.
When Summer finally realizes what happened and how she was trick, she finally comes out of her guilt and starts to really live again and finally realize all the things that she can do.
Seeing her and Daniel’s moment together really broke my heart. I have loved Daniel from the first book in this whole series, so seeing him with Summer and how he talks to her, made my heart melt.
I loved getting to see Summer interact with her parents and also with Marcus. I was so happy for Marcus.
“He promised me that if I protected this woman, if she was allowed to find love in the human world, one day her descendant would be the woman I would fall so in love with that I followed her out of this life.”
All the while Kelsey’s trying to figure out how to get back home to her husbands and new son.
When they finally get back and see how much things have changed and how much time has past in their world they are completely shocked.
I honestly did not see that coming and can’t believe I have to wait for the next installment in the new series that Ms. Blake is creating.

WOULD I RECOMMEND:
This is another great installment in this series. You have to read this and like I’ve said before with these reviews you have to read these books in order because they don’t make sense otherwise.
Summer is from the first book in the thieves series so you have to start at the beginning.
I can’t believe I have to wait so long for another installment. I can’t wait to see what comes next.
