MISCHIEF AND THE MASTERS | BY CHERISE SINCLAIR

MY REVIEW:

Uzuri has always been scared of the master in the shadowlands, at least the ones that aren’t shadowlands master. She always choose Dom’s that are shorter and smaller so she can keep her fear at bay.

She was stalked and attacked previously by a huge Dom. She keeps her secret to herself because she doesn’t want anyone to know what she’s been through.

She’s a sweet prankster that’s always willing to help a friend out. She so caring and considerate and no one ones what she’s been through or the fear that she still lives in. And her fear has gotten worse since her stalker was released from prison.

Master Z allowed her some time to work through her issues on her own and if she couldn’t the masters would step in. and guess what Uzuri’s time has ran out and she had to confide in a master and let them know what’s going on and why she’s so skittish.

“Courage is endurance for one moment more.’ ” She stared at him, her lips repeating silently, “One moment more.”

Now Uzuri’s getting help from two masters and they’re not small and short. Both of the masters  are tall and intimidating.

They start to help Uzuri work through her fears and help her learn to defend herself.

Max is a cop and has seen some things in his life. He’s also been through some things and isn’t really ready to settle down and he’s not sure when he will be.

He also has some misconceptions about who Uzuri is and what she’s about. He soon realizes that he might have been wrong about her.

“You need to learn to ask for help,” Max pointed out. “We can work on that.”

“But—”

“You need to move past being afraid of men,” Alastair added. “Living with two Doms would help.”

Alastair is a doctor and  has been in some of the worst places, treating patients. He’s also seen things and that has scarred him a bit. Now that Max is living with him again he’s ready to settle down and share a woman with his cousin.

Somehow they are tasked to help the little troublemaker and they start to see who she is and how caring and compassionate she really is.

But Uzuri’s in danger and they have to help her but maybe she can also help herself.

WOULD I RECOMMEND:

Definitely! This is a great book and we finally understand so much about Uzuri and her fears.

I loved seeing her learn to fight for herself and become less fearful, and of course I know that takes time but she was finally working towards it. Instead of cowering in fear.

Max and Alastair are the perfect pair for Uzuri and their relationship was also different from the other ménage relationship in this series.

That’s another thing I love about Cherise Sinclair all of her stories are different and the characters have different relationships.
