MY REVIEW
An enemies to lovers story that is sweet enough to give you all the feels! Throw in a single mom? Broody biker and a super sweet girl? I am always going to say yes to this!
I love romances with single parents and seeing them find love not only for themselves but someone who loves their kid too.
Keegan has had it rough no doubt about it. She has a little girl and has been trying to find a home for both her and her daughter. But that’s been harder to do than expected.
Which leaves Keegan and Millie more hurt than not. Finally Keegan decides its time for a new start and to change her life.
Healing Hug #18: Given to those who aren’t brave enough to ask.
She picks up and moves close to her bestie, which I love. I love the way they support each other and joke and are just super silly with one another.
Millie is really mature for her age but super shy. She’s so precious, I really enjoyed her sassiness when she was comfortable with everyone around her.
Crawford or Ford is a grumpy loner or so it seems to everyone because he prefers to be alone at all times. This guy takes anti-social to the next level.
Healing Hug #20: The silent moments are most powerful. It doesn’t have to be for comfort.
Ford happens to help Keegan and Millie out but the encounter isn’t the best. Even though the sparks fly Ford just isn’t a people person.
Millie stumbled upon Ford and they really hit it off. It’s usually hard for Millie to connect with other people but with Ford it’s easy because he understands her.
The trio end up spending more time together thanks to Millie. And finding things in one another that they didn’t think they would.
Healing Hug #21: Two broken pieces sliding into place for a perfect fit.
They start to really enjoy their time together, what really surprised me was how sweet Ford was when dealing with people he actually liked.
It’s turns out that Ford doesn’t like people because of his past and encounters he’s had that
And that he felt comfortable to be around Keegan and Millie and actually wanted them around.
She peers around my shoulder, catching sight of the basic sedan in her driveway. “Whose car is that?”
“Mine. Just bought it yesterday.” Did I just puff my chest out a bit? Absolutely.
“Why?”
“So I can take Millie out without having you worry. The same booster you have for her is already strapped in the backseat.”
His connection with Millie also didn’t feel forced, like he was just doing it to get to Keegan. This was something that I really loved.
The only thing that I would say I wanted more of was Millie and Ford together interactions.
And getting to see them really connect, I know they were spending time together to of course they connected but I did love when it was just the two of them.
“So, what should we do?” I open the main entrance and usher her inside.
“I get to choose again?”
“Of course, Peep. This is all about you.”
She taps her lips. “Do you have any motorcycles that need fixing?”
“Always. There’s never a shortage of broken bikes at my shop. That’s how I stay in business.”
Millie giggles. “Good thing you have me to help.”
“You can say that again.”
“We’ll make a great team, Ford. I won’t even make you pay me.”
I loved seeing them connect when they did and forming a bond. And I love that Ford wanted to make Millie feel like she was a part of the relationship.
This absolutely melted my heart. He was so good with her.
