MY REVIEW:
OMG! I was waiting for this for so long! I’ve read every book in this series and loved everyone of them. And since we read about Mary and Leo in the previous book I was so ready.
Mary is a tattoo artist that has pervious experience with Leo that made her dislike him so much. And I was so intrigued to find out why she disliked him so much. And we got a tidbit in the end of the previous book Quarterback Sneak.
She’s tough and independent. Mary is trying to make it on her own because her family wanted her to be someone she’s not. And she’s pushed against what they want her to be, to be her own person and so what she loves.
Leo is a college football player that has always been popular, he was also a high school college player. So he’s always been popular and had his pick of women but never found one that loved him for who he was.
My heart broke for Mary and what she went through and what she encountered because of Leo. I was so happy that she was such a different person now and I was loving it for her.
Leo was always popular but no one really knew him or what he liked. He’s had a hard time find people that really care about him as a person. But he had one person for a short time.
When he came to college he found people that care about him for him and not the football player that he is.
Leo and Mary live as neighbors and have an attraction even though Mary wants nothing to do with it. They end up being roommates and this is where things heat up and we learn about how Mary and Leo knew each other.

This was a slow burn that really let you get into the characters by themselves before they get together.
Mary and Leo aren’t the only ones in the house that they share which I also really love. I got to see a different side to Kyle, who I disliked from the beginning and the other roommates.
We also get to see how sweet and caring Leo really is. He keeps trying to get an in with Mary but she keeps shutting him down and he has no idea why. I loved seeing the vulnerable side to Leo and who he really was.
When Leo and Mary finally get together its absolutely amazing. They are incendiary together. They are absolutely hot together and so sweet at the same time. I just loved them together.
And can I say how much I loved the girl power in this book! With Riley, Gianna & Julep coming to Mary’s rescue when she needed it the most. And I love how Mary was able to connect with her parents.
I absolutely love this book! This was an amazing end to a series. I’m not going to lie though Clay and Gianna will always be my favorite couple in this series. So bittersweet to see this series end but I will definitely be rereading every book in this series.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Kandi Steiner is an Amazon Top 5 bestselling author and whiskey connoisseur living in Tampa, FL. Best known for writing “emotional rollercoaster” stories, she loves bringing flawed characters to life and writing about real, raw romance — in all its forms. No two Kandi Steiner books are the same, and if you’re a lover of angsty, emotional, and inspirational reads, she’s your gal.
An alumna of the University of Central Florida, Kandi graduated with a double major in Creative Writing and Advertising/PR with a minor in Women’s Studies. She started writing back in the 4th grade after reading the first Harry Potter installment. In 6th grade, she wrote and edited her own newspaper and distributed to her classmates. Eventually, the principal caught on and the newspaper was quickly halted, though Kandi tried fighting for her “freedom of press.”
She took particular interest in writing romance after college, as she has always been a die hard hopeless romantic, and likes to highlight all the challenges of love as well as the triumphs.
When Kandi isn’t writing, you can find her reading books of all kinds, planning her next adventure, or pole dancing (yes, you read that right). She enjoys live music, traveling, playing with her fur babies and soaking up the sweetness of life.
