MY REVIEW:

Kai has been around for some time now being everyone’s phycologist and helping everyone with their problems.

But of course we don’t know a thing about Kai and his problems.

Kai seems to have a very strained relationship with his younger brother.

His brother messed up big time and Kai can’t seem to let it go or move in from it.

Jared, Kai’s younger brother is desperate to have a relationship with him. But Kai keeps pushing him away.

Kori has had her share of terrible relationships, she got so caught up in a man she forgot about her dreams. And let him use her to further his dreams. She wont ever do that again.

So she keeps part of herself hidden in hopes that her boss doesn’t notice.

Kai thinks Kori cant handle what he really wants so he stays away from her, even though he wants her.

But Kai is forced into a situation where he either needs to make a move or step back. And he chooses to make a move.

But Kori’s so terrified she runs. Kai wont allow it after all she does work for him. It’s only so far she can go. She has to come back to the office and deal with him at some point.

Kori finally realizes she cornered and cant do anything. But she wants to make sure she’s heard.

While all of this is going on there’s a serial killer on the loose. Everyone’s on the hunt for this serial killer.

There are quite a few subplots in this book and I don’t know if it was suppose to transition to the next book because of what happened in the last book.

We got to catch up with a lot of the secondary characters in this book and see what’s going on in their lives and what they’ve been up to.

I always love that Lexi Blake lets us get a glimpse of the other characters in each story.

I liked seeing Kai finally meeting his match and having no choice but to get it together and go after her. And it’s good to know that Kai’s a human just like the rest of them, no matter how much therapy talk he gives to everyone else.

WOULD I RECOMMEND:

This was a good book. I really enjoyed seeing Kai and Jared work through their relationship and finally talk about some of the issues they had.

All the time that was wasted because they couldn’t have a conversation and discuss all the issues between them.

It was good also getting some info on the other characters. I am definitely looking forward to the next book.
