MY REVIEW:

Jessica is a one tough cookie, she was introduced to a private club when her emotions are already running high and still manages to keep going. She may be terrified but she’s brave.

Being introduced to the shadowlands was very insightful to me. I learned a lot about what it means to be in a club with all the rules. This was truly a new experience for me.

Jessica had to endure somethings that wasn’t exactly comfortable for a newbie in the club but she did break the rules.

Master Z was patient and kind and recognized how strong Jessica was. What’s not to love about that?

Master Z is the definition of dominance. He took control when necessary but he also understood Jessica’s need to learn about the new world she discovered.

Jessica and Z are drawn to each other. She because of her nature and him because of his dominance.

Jessica doesn’t believe in submitted to anyone much less a man, but for some reason she wants to submit to Z and she doesn’t understand why.

“First of all, this time between us is simply for pleasure. Trust me to know how to give you that pleasure. Can you do that?” His eyes were intent as if he could see into her soul.

What I really enjoyed about this book was that it really shows the relationship and what the dynamic is between the couple.

What I really didn’t care for was the instant love. I am not a fan of couples falling in love after meeting each other a week ago. I understand that it may happen but I feel like love is something that takes a bit long to find with a person.

I also realized that this book is a novella and that’s why things had to move a little faster than usual but this didn’t really make me want to continue reading the series.

But that’s just my personal opinion on instant love books. Maybe continuing with the series will yield different results.

WOULD I RECOMMEND:

This is a maybe for me I think maybe I need to get past the couple falling in love so quickly and everything else that happens super fast to really enjoy the book. I think I need to try one of her novels to really appreciate the author better.

I love the characters and really would love to see how they are in a longer book to understand the dynamic between them. But that’s more of a personal preference. If you’re into falling for someone fast then go for it.
