MY REVIEW

Another great addition to the series! I love going back to Papillon. Small town romance is one of my favorite tropes so I absolutely love this series. And this book is no different.

Major and Brynn just hit it off from the beginning. The banter was immaculate from the moment they met. Ms. Blake knows how to create a scene to pull you in. from the first scene they pulled me in.

And the neighbors and the town gossip mill I loved it! I would love to live in Papillon.

“Now what is this I hear about a wild-eyed blonde with a mean dog who stole not only Harry’s truck, but also Major’s virtue?”

“Well, first off we need to get down to the bog near the B and B because I’ve gotten a report of a lost item,” Armie said, his lips kicking up in a grin. “Someone lost their dignity, and we’ve got to find it.”

Brynn is trying to find herself in the mist of her obligations to her family. She wants to help but she also wants to find herself. I loved Brynn she was so relatable.

“I worry that you think about everyone else so much, they forget to think about you.”

I love how down to earth she was and she got along with everyone in Papillon and was not pretentious or anything. She was sweet and caring and amazing.

Major hasn’t had it easy and has lost the people he love, or is in the process of it, as we’ve seen in previous books.

And because of that he’s not in the best of moods with everything that’s going on in his life. He’s also scared.

Brynn is dealing with a serious decision that she needs to make. She wants what she thinks she can’t have.

Major wants Brynn but is scared to make any real commitment when it comes to her because of all the loses he’s encountered.

“I don’t want to leave you, but I have to take care of him. I’m sorry, baby. He’s the only family I have left in this whole world, and I can’t fail him. I can’t.”

I love how these characters are broken but they find a way to be better and find a way to make it work.

This book gave me all the angsty vibes and love vibes that I love from this author. I love all of her books and how she makes me feel when I read her books.
