MY REVIEW:
This was a short book that showed us how the horse racing business started. I started with this book because I didn’t realize it was 1.5 in the series.
Ada and Dermot have been around each other for almost their whole lives and she’s always had a crush on him but she’s always been younger than him.
Dermot has always felt like it was wrong to like Ada because she was so much younger than him. So when she kissed him the first time he had to put a stop to it, he didn’t want to take advantage of her.
But he cant stop noticing Ada and he’s half in love with her too, but she’s still 10 years younger than he is.

Dermot is also just back from the military and is suffering with some PTSD and is trying his best to deal with him. The way Ada helped him was so sweet.
This was a sweet and to the point story, telling us about how the horse racing business began and why it did.
Ada has always wanted to be a horse racer and she wanted to turn the ranch into that type of business.
I love the way Dermot supported her and how they worked together. After reading the next book in this series, this book made me really sad. I’m glad I read it out of order and read this one first.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Elsie Silver is a Canadian author of sassy, sexy, small town romance who loves a good book boyfriend and the strong heroines who bring them to their knees. She lives just outside of Vancouver, British Columbia with her husband, son, and three dogs and has been voraciously reading romance books since before she was probably supposed to.
She loves cooking and trying new foods, traveling, and spending time with her boys–especially outdoors. Elsie has also become a big fan of her quiet five am mornings, which is when most of her writing happens. It’s during this time that she can sip a cup of hot coffee and dream up a fictional world full of romantic stories to share with her readers.
