MY REVIEW:

*** I received an advance review copy for my honest review. ***

I really enjoyed this book. Leanne and Trev are two characters that didn’t realize how much they needed the other.

They are each dealing with their own troubles and their own past traumas. Trev is in a dark place and can’t seem to pull himself out or even believe that he is worth pulling out.

His family is really toxic and therefore tell him how much he’s not worth it. Not to mention his sucky ex who put him in the place he was in.

But when he meets Leanne and cant believe that she really wants him, he starts to believe in himself. I loved watching Trev gain his confidence and cut his toxic family out of his life. I also love watching him realize that he was worth it.

Leanne has familial trauma also and has never really opened up to anyone even her past two husbands. But she finds herself opening up and telling Trev things that she would never tell anyone.

Leanne finally finds someone she can lean on and really trust. And Trev finds someone that believes in him and helps push him forward and supports him.

“If you were mine, Butterfly—truly mine—I would never ask the universe for anything else.”

I never though the fake relationship trope was my thing but I’m starting to realize just how much I love it! These two had the perfect fake relationship that quickly turned real.

I love how sweet Trev was with Leanne and how he loved doing things for her and making sure she was taken care of.

And I really loved how Leanne believed in Trev and believed that he could do whatever he wanted to do and she would support him. I love how she also help boost his confidence. And how Trev was aware enough to know when he needed help.

This was a great book and I loved both of these characters very much. The only thing I think was a little off putting was the way it was written, it was a weird writing style and I had to go back and really some lines over and over like wait did I miss something.

Other than that great book!
