MY REVIEW:

I love small town romances and feeling like a part of the community. This book did not disappoint I got all the small town vibes I was looking for.

Penny and Liam are so sweet together! I loved these characters and how they fit so well together.

Penny is a romance author that was getting married when her fiancé left her, she quite literally runs into Liam and needs his help getting away, so he does the only thing any nice guy would do and helps her hide.

They spend a week together and then go back to their lives but can’t stop thinking about each other. Penny has no clue about Liam’s secret identity.

Until she does… then everything changes and Ms. Hartley takes us on a wonderful ride of two romance authors being pushed together by circumstances and falling more and more for one another.

I loved the way Liam took care of Penny and how he made sure her needs were met. He was so sweet and caring and so corny. But the super sweet kind of corny. I loved it, he is definitely book boyfriend material.

And I loved how Penny was so shocked by the way he always put her needs first and made sure to make decisions with her in mind, I also loved watching her rock the boat and become more and more of herself because she felt so comfortable with Liam.

He gave her a safe space to be who she was and in turn she made him feel comfortable enough to confide in her and tell her who he really was. She gave him a space to be who he was but still kept his secret.

She also found a way to celebrate him without his identity being revealed. I really loved this part. I loved how much she cared about him and wanted to do things for him just like he did for her. They just fit so well together I love it!

I also really enjoyed that it took them time and getting to know each other to fall for one another and the story played out in the timeline it did. It was perfect!

This was a great book and I can wait to see who’s story is told next, I kept trying to guess if it would be Brinkley (Penny’s best friend) or Asher or Tristan (Liam’s best friends) I definitely want to read that!

And can I just say I love the Alondra Valley! It sounds like a perfect place to live!
