MY REVIEW
***I RECEIVED AN ADVANCE RECIEW COPY. FOR MY HONEST OPINION***
This book is taking place around the same time as the last book in this series Sinful Crown.
When reading Sinful Crown we see a little bit of Hunter and Melissa playing out, but not the full story.
So I was eager to finally read this installment. And see what they heck was going on with Melissa & Hunter.
Turns out they knew each other for a really long time and they have some history to say the least.
I really really wanted to like this book as much as I liked the others but I just couldn’t connect to it the way I did the others.
Hunter and Melissa chemistry fell a bit short for me, Hunter wasn’t around as much so I couldn’t feel the relationship build, we were given information that they had a past and that’s when they fell for each other which I get but it just left something missing for me.
I couldn’t believe that they felt so strongly about each other with what I read. And he kept leaving her and they kept having the same fight. After a while it just a bit irritating that they couldn’t seem to communicate.

I did like the way the Hunter wanted to protect and care about Melissa. He really cared deep down.
Hunter scoffs. “Don’t you get it, baby doll? I’d slay a million men if it meant you’d be safe. And do you know why?”
“No.” I shake my head.
“Because my world would cease to spin without you in it. You’re the reason my sun rises and moon sets. You’re the best part of this wretched life, and making sure you remain here, with me, is worth each and every sacrifice.”
I really enjoyed that Melissa was not a push over and she stood up for what she thought was her right.
The story did take a crazy turn that I was not expecting but was so interesting and we learn a lot of things. With each book I feel like we get more of the story and it keeps playing out.
Their was one thing that I just could not wrap my head around and that was the scenes with Melissa’s brother. It was just a bit too much for me but that’s a me thing.
Overall I have like all the other books I’ve read and I will continue to read the books in this series, this book just wasn’t the one for me.
A NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR
Writing about yourself is hard. Writing about yourself in the third person is even harder.
Instead of giving myself all kinds of accolades and touting my writing prowess (or lack thereof), I’ll just share some of the bits that make me who I am. Sound good? Good.
Reading has always been a big part of my life. Growing up, my mother would walk into my room well into the wee hours of the morning only to have to tell me to put my books away and sleep.
If you’re a bibliophile like me, I’m sure you can relate.
I never stopped reading nor did my love for it diminish. As time passed, my reading tastes evolved and I found myself devouring romance novels left and right (find me on Goodreads). So naturally, when I found myself unfulfilled with my learned profession, I turned to writing the books I loved to read.
It started as a hobby but with my husband’s encouragement, it grew into what it is today, the start of my new, and very much loved career.
I hope that my story serves as an inspiration and that regardless of where you are in life, you are able to follow your dreams and give yourself your very own happily ever after.
With Love,
Eleanor Aldrick
