MY REVIEW: 

I have always like Kayla and her positivity. She always seemed so happy no matter what was going on and she’s also a badass. She’s tough, smart and fought with the best of them.

She was in the CIA and she kicked ass there, and took on some of the deadliest missions. I would definitely want Kayla on my team, having my back!

Joshua is an actor that’s seen the good and the bad of being famous. He’s been betrayed so he doesn’t trust anyone. He has his own secrets and wants to keep it that way.

He doesn’t really believe in love so he’s a bit cold.

Then Kayla comes into his life and he has to start rethinking things, but he’s so set in his ways it hard to believe in anything.

“Sometimes bravery isn’t about slaying a dragon. Sometimes bravery is about getting out of bed every morning and going to work even when the pain is so bad you can’t stand the thought of going on.”

But Kayla’s that bit of sunshine that he do desperately needs in his life.

“She was a weird combination of Disney princess and superhot assassin chick.”

Things get a little crazy and Joshua and Kayla realize that they need to depend on each other to come out alive.

Got love that Lexi Blake’s heroines are tough ass chicks that can kick a little ass when necessary or even take out the bad guy when necessary.

WOULD I RECOMMEND:

Absolutely! I love a badass heroine that can take care of herself and her man.

Kayla is tough and Joshua allows her to do the things she needs to to keep them both safe.

I love that Joshua didn’t always try to be the strongest one because he was the man in the relationship. He let Kayla take charge and was ok with it.
