MY REVIEW:
From the moment I read that Theo died a few books ago, I didn’t want to believe it there was no way Lexi would take him away from us, from Erin. He’s a Taggart, there’s just no way. I was in complete denial.
I was so happy to find out he didn’t die that night, but yet lost his memories and programmed to be someone else. This broke my heart, Theo had a family a life, friends, Erin and it was all taken away.
Erin fought Theo so hard when he was alive, she push and pushed but Theo wouldn’t let her push him away. He loved her and knew she was the one for him. And no matter what fight Erin put up, he knew she wanted him, but was to scared to do anything.
Theo was introduced to use in Simon and Chelsea’s book A View To A Trill, he is the youngest brother of Ian and Sean Taggart. But Ian & Sean had no clue he existed.
Erin was officially introduced to us in Jesse and Phoebe’s book You Only Love Twice. She was a badass, with a bad temper that like to fight. And she was just as good as the men.
Theo and Erin were thrown together on a mission and Erin could no longer resist Theo for their cover of course. But Theo gets into her bed and slowly into her heart.
Erin has a tough shell but a really soft heart that’s been hurt, hence the bad tough shell. In her eyes Theo is a kid that will mess with her heart make her fall for him and then dump her.
“You told him it didn’t matter what you deserved. It mattered what your heart needed. You say you need her more than all other women. What she deserves is meaningless. What her heart needs is you.”
But Theo is absolutely crazy about her and she wont accept it. Then Theo dies and everything changes. Erin can’t believe she’s lost the love of her life and is completely heartbroken.
But Theo is also all kinda of messed up and doesn’t know how to deal with it. He’s extremely tough on himself. But he doesn’t understand that he just needs to take his time.
“A man survives. A man keeps going no matter what happens. A man can be hurt and wounded and torn up inside and still come out on the other side. The shame is not in that it happened. The shame is in allowing it to cost you what you truly love.”
Watching Erin and Theo reconnect after his long absence was so hard. Theo was no longer the sweet, patient man who doted on Erin anymore. Of course he still cared but he just wasn’t the same.
Now Erin was the one who had to learn some patience. And just be there for Theo for all that he was going through. And we know patience is not Erin forte, so she did lose her cool a few times.
I loved seeing Erin mature and blow everything up. And fight for her man instead, she was by his side through it all.
And watching Theo finally start coming back to himself and forgiving himself for the mistakes that he made and accepting the people around him that loved him. I was just so happy to have Theo back.
And why would think Ian Taggart wouldn’t come with the sarcasm in his brother’s book?
“Hello, shoppers, this store is undergoing a change in management,” a thoroughly sarcastic voice said. “All crazy-as-f*k doctors are currently on sale because their lives have recently lost all value. Please shoot on sight. And Theo, get your girl and a** out of here. Now.”
Trust Ian to always have something snarky to say in the middle of everything else going on.
Of course who doesn’t love a Ian Taggart cameo?

WOULD I RECOMMEND:
I would absolutely recommend this book. I would give it more if I could!
I love Erin and Theo’s story and I love that Erin was such a fighter. And who wouldn’t love Theo coming back to us after the traumatizing event that took him from us?
I am so happy with this book and having Theo back in the McKay-Taggart family.
Ms. Blake does it again!
