MY REVIEW:

This is the book I’ve been waiting for since I read Alex and Eve’s book. I waited a long time for Ian’s book.

Ian was in every book before this one and he was the snarky, sarcastic leader/co-owner of Mckay-Taggart and Sanctum. Sanctum is a exclusive club.

I wanted to see which woman could handle Ian Taggart. And bring him to his knees.

We learned in the previous book that Ian was married previously but unfortunately his wife died five years ago.

Ian was crushed, even though he would never admit it, he loved his wife and was devastated when he lost her.

Charlotte had no choice but to fake her death to save her sister. What else could she do?

But that meant giving Ian up and that was the hardest thing she had to do. Charlotte’s tried to be good and do good in the world since then.

She also has been trying to keep her and her sister safe, as a lot of people want them dead.

But in all the five years she was suppose to be dead she never forgot the only man she ever loved. And she would do anything to get back to him.

Charlotte shows up on Ian’s door step and expects to be welcomed back. That’s definitely not the case with Ian.

He is furious that she lied to him and faked her own death. Not to mention it took her five years to end up at his door.

He kicks her out, but Charlotte is not a quitter. She shows up the next day claiming apart ownership to Ian’s businesses since Texas is a community property state.

And they have been married for the last 5 years. At least according to Charlotte.

Ian is the only man that has ever made Charlotte desire and want what he could give her.

Charlotte is determined for Ian to take her back, no matter what it takes, she thinks information is the key.

Ian is as stubborn as the day is long. And snarky. And sarcastic.

Charlotte has been hurt in her life and just wants to be with the one man that makes her feel whole and special.

Ian loves Charlotte and will never love anyone else the way he loves her, but that’s not the problem.

The problem is can he ever trust her again?

WOULD I RECOMMEND:

I absolutely loved this book! I waited so long and I was not disappointed! I love second chance romance novels and this was no different.

The love was there, but there was a lot to work through if they wanted to find a way back to each other.

I also really loved how strong and lethal both of these characters were.
